Our baby alpaca wool is produced by Inca Tops in Arequipa, Peru, in accordance with international quality standards. The «STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX» is an independent product label for all types of textiles tested for harmful substances - from yarn and fabrics to ready-to-use articles. Textile products receive the STANDARD 100 label if they were successfully tested for harmful chemicals by one of the OEKO-TEX member institutes on the basis of the comprehensive catalogue of criteria, thus contributing to effective consumer protection. Sustainable in every way - our certificate
A product in harmony with nature seems almost impossible today. But it's not. With PACABAMBA we are taking a big step forward with the conscious step back. We measure progress by its environmental compatibility, not by its novelty. Modern is when a product does not strain nature throughout its entire life cycle, but respects it. Our textiles are therefore not only made from 100% certified natural raw materials; the way they are produced is so old and traditional that it can be called sustainable in every way. And even at the end of their long life, our products are still as environmentally friendly as possible - after all, their wool and dyes are completely degradable and become one with nature again.
With re- and upcycling we also express our conviction that something very modern is inherent in the old and proven. This applies to our interiors as well as to the packaging of our knitwear, which is placed in reusable jute bags.
With Peru as a production location, our textiles often have to travel a long way to our customers. However, we also pay attention to the greatest possible environmental compatibility when shipping and rely on partners who identify with our values.
