PACABAMBA
Naturally Coloured Yarn – Baby Alpaca · 100 g
A naturally coloured yarn for mindful handcraft and timeless pieces.
Product Description
This naturally coloured yarn is spun from 100% baby alpaca and offered in plant-dyed shades as well as in undyed white.
The coloured shades are created using traditional dyeing processes with plants and minerals from the Peruvian Andes. This knowledge has been practiced for generations by Andean women living in high-altitude communities and is passed on orally, from mother to daughter, as a living cultural heritage.
The undyed white version is left completely natural, showing the pure colour of the alpaca fibre itself. Presented in elegant skeins (madejas), the yarn is suitable for hand knitting, crochet and other textile techniques, and works both as a calm base or as a naturally coloured accent in wool projects.
Reduced, honest and deeply connected to its origin, this yarn is made for people who value natural colour, traditional craftsmanship and material authenticity.
